Former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s pardon of late ex-Bayelsa Governor, DSP Alamieyeseigha made the international community to turn against him during the 2015 Presidential election. This claim was disclosed by the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bolaji Abdullahi, in his upcoming book, , ‘On a Platter of Gold: How Jonathan Won and Lost Nigeria.’ Alamieyeseigha, Governor of Bayelsa state from 1999-2005, was arrested in London in 2005, over claims of money laundering. It was then alleged that about £1 million cash found in his London home, and later another £1.8 million in cash and bank accounts. The former governor was subsequently convicted and jailed on corruption charges in 2007. However, the then administration of Jonathan granted him presidential pardon in March 2013. In his book, Abdullahi noted that the amnesty pardon was the turning point for the international community, adding that it was Jonathan’s original idea to pardon his former boss....

Former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari would have stopped ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar from leaving the All Progressives Congress, APC. Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, predicted the re-election of Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano, in his 2017 list of prophecies. Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) had won the 2017 governorship election in Anambra with 234,071 votes, beating Tony Nwoye of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) who came second with 98,752 votes and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oseloka Obaze, who came third in the November 18 contest with 70,293 votes. FORMER Senate Deputy Chief Whip between 1999 and 2003, Gbenga Aluko, yesterday, accused Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State of making surreptitious moves to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), But in a swift reaction, Fayose’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi described Aluko’s remarks as false. He said,  “I have a situation room here in my house, and from the results collated so far from the various polling units across the state, we have won. “I already said it before in a press interview that after listening to INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu during the stakeholders meeting that I was sure he would conduct a credible election “What I am saying is that nothing short of the results collated from units would be accepted. Popular ponzi scheme MMM has officially announced a “RESTART” of the system, leaving many Nigerian participants wailing with thousands and millions on Naira trapped in the scheme. On Friday, 3rd November 2017, troops of 152 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army, on Operation LAFIYA DOLE, in furtherance of blockade and clearance operations DEEP PUNCH 2 and their resolve to rout out the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hibernating in some areas, ambushed a group of unsuspecting Boko Haram terrorists along Banki-Bula Yobe road in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.  The troops sprung the ambush on the terrorists and neutralised 1 of them and recovered 4 Bicycles, some Mechanical tools which aids the terrorists vehicle movement, clothes and explosive wires from the ambush site.
