South-East On Fire As Imo State Governor, Rochas, And IPOB Messiah, Nnamdi Kanu, Exchange Deadly Blows

The South-East geo-political zone was tension soaked, as the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Leader, Nnamdi Kanu, exchanged verbal punches. Recall, that Nnamdi Kanu had attacked former President, Goodluck Jonathan, for not doing something remarkable to the Igbos, during his administration. Addressing State House Reporters, in Abuja, Okorocha said Kanu lacks the ability and influence to lead the Igbo nation to war. The Governor asked Nigerians to treat Kanu ,as a young man seeking relevance. According to him, most of the boys clamouring for Biafra are frustrated, and are just venting their frustration. Okorocha, who is the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors Forum, also stated that any decision taking by Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, is binding.

Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, condemns recent ethnic attacks in Taraba, orders deployment of extra military officers to the state

Acting president Yemi Osinbajo, has condemned the outbreak of crisis in some communities in Taraba state that has led to the death of over 100 people and destruction of property worth millions. The renewed crisis started in in Mambilla Plateau on Monday and spread to some other neighboring communities. According to reports, Fulani herdsmen in the affected communities recorded the most casualties. In a statement released on his Facebook page, Osinbajo offered his condolence to the families affected by the crisis.
