Nigeria Become The First African Country To launch Nano-Satellites

Nigeria will become the first African country to launch nano-satellites between May 23-27
- Nigeria will be launching along with four other countries – Japan, Ghana, Bangladesh and Nepal
- The satellites are important for studying the weather
Nigeria is set to launch Africa’s first nano-satellite into orbit according to the Director-General of National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Prof Seidu Mohammed.
A nano-satellite is an artificial satellite with a wet mass between one and 10 kg 2.2–22 lb which is used for measuring weather changes.
Acording to NAN, Prof Mohammed said Nigeria’s nano-satellite would be launched alongside four other countries, including Japan, Ghana, Bangladesh and Nepal between May 23 to May 27, 2017.
